In our country, the Government of India frequently initiates new schemes to benefit the poor. One such beneficial program is PMAY-G, which stands for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. This scheme aims to provide housing facilities to poor and homeless people living in rural India. Under this program, a list of rural beneficiaries is released, and all those mentioned in it receive financial assistance to construct their own houses.
Previously, PM Awas Yojana was known as Indira Awas Yojana (IAY), which was launched in 1985. This scheme was renamed to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in 2015. PMAY-G, which stands for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, is a part of the broader PM Awas Yojana. As its name suggests, it specifically focuses on providing housing scheme benefits to people in rural areas.
Features of PM Awas Yojana List
- Poor people in rrban areas can avail the benefits of this scheme.
- Under this scheme, the central government has set a target of building 2 crore pucca houses for the poor sections by 2022.
- To avail the benefit of PM Awas Yojana 2024, the annual income of the beneficiary for MIG I of urban area should be between Rs 6 lakh to 12 lakh. And for MIG II the annual income should be between Rs 12 lakh to 18 lakh.
- Lichuk beneficiaries of the country can apply online under this scheme and get a loan to build their own permanent house.
- The economically weaker sections, low income groups and middle income groups of the country have been included in the Benefits under 3 components under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana by the Central Government.

- Select “ Search by Name” option from the “ Search Beneficiary” Drop-down Menu .
- Enter first 3 letters of your name and click on “ Show ” button
- Soon the results will appear on the screen. Check the list to find your name and other information.
