The government has recently launched a unique scheme which aims to provide more facilities to the women of the country. Under this scheme, women will no longer need a gas cylinder in their home. Women will be able to cook food on solar stove using sunlight, which will free them from the use of gas cylinder and the problems associated with it. This scheme is not only beneficial for the environment, but also gives women the freedom to easily cook whenever and wherever they want.

Under this scheme, solar panels will be installed on the rooftops of women’s houses, so that they can meet their daily cooking needs on solar stoves.

The specialty of this solar chulha is that it is equipped with the ability to store solar energy, so that you can cook food even in less sunlight or at night. This system involves batteries, which are charged in sunlight and can then be used when needed.

Eligibility Criteria :

• All women of the country can avail the benefits of this scheme.
• The annual income of the family should be less than ₹250,000. Only families below this income limit will be considered eligible for this scheme.
• Every family will get the benefit of solar stove. This rule will guarantee that the benefits of the scheme reach maximum families.
• Women from economically weaker families belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class and General Category can also be beneficiaries of this scheme.

How to Apply Online :

• First of all you have to go to the official website of Indian Oil Mill Corporation is iocl.com.
• After this the home page of the website will open in front of you.
• Go to “Service Option” on the home page and click on “Solar Cooking Stove System”.
• After this a new page will open in front of you, click on the “Chulha Solar Reserve” option on that new page.
• The application form will open in front of you, fill the required information in it.
• After uploading the required documents, click on “Submit” option.
